Nigeria must teach entrepreneurship in every course, says Lagos Deputy Gov

Success Damian: Deputy Governor of Lagos, Dr Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, has stressed the need for the introduction of entrepreneurship in all disciplines in Nigerian institutions of learning. Hamzat made the disclosure at the 2019 annual Faculty lecture of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Lagos State University (LASU) at the Campus, in Ojo on Wednesday. The theme of the Lecture was ‘Addressing the Unemployment Scourge in Nigeria: The Role of Agriculture and Technology. He said graduates after spending years in university should be able to create jobs especially now that there is limited job opportunity in the country. In stressing the gains of agriculture globally, he stated that since 1999, successive governments in Lagos have focused on innovative programs to foster job creation and empower entrepreneurs in the states. Nigeria lose $649m to cyber criminals, Expert ….As Conference issues Communique

Success Damian: Cyber Security Expert, Taiye Lambo, Founder/CTO, e-Fortresses Cloud Assurance & HISPI, has revealed that Nigeria in 2017 lost whooping $649m to Cyber criminals. Lambo gave the statistics at the International Cyber Security and Cloud Conference which was held at Four-Point Hotel, Lagos recently. Lambo, dwelling on the topic ‘The Business of Cyber Security and Cloud’ disclosed, “While Nigeria lost $649 million in 2017, Nigerian cyber criminals make 2billion a year. He went further to state that $600 billion is the annual cost of cyber crime worldwide, “but it is Nigerians who get the negative name”, many Nigerians invented cyber crime while other countries monetized it.
